I was going to write an article on PSP NIDS, but when i started doing it, it felt as if it dropped a little short of what i wanted it to be, and wasn't particularly long (or interesting to people not associated with the PSP Scene).
I did write about it here (First post): http://forums.maxconsole.net/showthread.php?t=123521&page=8 so for those that are interested, have a look :)

Well thats me up to Level 12, nice little level i really enjoyed it and learned a LOT from it.
I did my usual annoy Domuk about level 11 for a couple of days and generally moan about the fact i couldn't do it... heh.
And so, on to level 13, this is where it ends for the vast majority of OSIX Geeks, i feel proud to be amoung the privilaged few lol.

Level 10... Had severe problems with this, and still am, the threads i read on the topic lead me to a method which was incorrect (my own fault entirely) so i spent the best part of a week trying to do it with that incorrect method.
Managed to offend Domuk with my stupidity on this one, mostly because my (incorrect) method produces somewhat correct results but not entirely, the thread i started in Geek Tips for this level has been marked for deletion.
I give up for now lol...

Well i used my hard earned points for the priv of authorising articles, i can't see how else im going to use them appart from them sitting there looking good, so i now have a grand total of 16 OSI Points, which looks pathetic but there you go lol...
Right, errm.. everyone submit articles heh!

Although i must admit it didn't hurt nearly as much as this
Can you feel my pain?
by MaxMouse on Sat 9th Sep 7pm
This is what happened when i used a throw away razor, yes it hurt, yes there was blood...

I'm designing a new level called Primary Colours, its based on a 15x15 square containing blocks of primary colours (r,g,b) with a function performed on them.
Its not amazingly hard (i'd say Medium difficulty) but it is a bit of a pain in the ass to code a solution for (Useage of arrays, hex, binary and MD5)
I'll have submitted it next week some time, just so i can check my answers etc... heh i hope its accepted. If it goes down well i'll write a cube version which should be harder :)

Just completed Geek Reverser 5, im really pleased with myself as the normal challanges are one thing, reversing is a completely different art. I was convinced i couldn't do it, but after looking at the code a very long time i realised i was starting to understand what was happening, its a strange feeling when you realise you're learning something that you thought you never could.
I'm also really impressed with the level design especially the way the serial is authenticated, the amount of valid serials i came up with was quite disturbing though and i thought it would take a lifetime to check them all!
Onwards and Upwards!

Recently i updated my site, i have no idea why i have it because i don't really do anything with it, currently my idea for it is simply storage, personal blog and the running of some scripts. I used to use it as a platform for some software i coded for the business i work (the software would request the current build number from the website, if it was newer the software would download the newer version and replace itself with it) but since they introduced SAP my simple application has understandably become redundant (The people who used my app still swear by it though, which im happy about)
Long and the short of it is, i have hosting and no idea what to do with it...
Any *doable* ideas?
by MaxMouse on Sat 26th Aug 10pm
I don't think the Reverse thinking challange should actually be in the "Challange" Section, im not too sure what the other challanges above it are but none seem "Reverse" oriented. you only have to look at the drop off in completion.
8 : Reverse Thinking
173 users have passed this level.
7 : The Skyline
373 users have passed this level.
Now i found Skyline hard, fair enough its supposed to be, i dunno... Reverse Thinking just seems a bit of a bastard (Yes i know, i know its probably there for that, doesn't stop it seeming "Mis-Placed")
You're all officialy nasty nasty people.
Anyway I'm thinking of writing a few articles, maybe a few Visual Basic ones, anyone have any ideas?

Spent a great deal of time on the SecureU bonus when i finished it i decided to surf around, only to discover the answer on the internet, looking around there are quite a few answers to osix levels online (unfortunately none of the levels im on! lol). Not sure how this can be prevented but its an annoyance.

Well, nothing much happening at work, pushed some paper from here to there, then someone pushed it back again, i responded by folding it into a paper air-plane and floating it from the top floor of our office complex.

a day in the life of my processor:
Todays activity: The Evil Pyramid Bonus
420186 bottles of beer on the wall 420186 bottles of beer, take one down pass it around, 420185 bottles of beer on the wall.
Burp!!!

MaxMouse reverser 3 - 10:50PM
MaxMouse reverser 2 - 10:45PM
MaxMouse reverser 1 - 10:39PM
With that in mind why can\'t i do GEEK 8?! maybe i need to do a few more reversers and get the hang of olly to have a chance at G8
Either-way i\'m rather proud of the minimal time scale between the reversers, yes i know they are easy to experianced reversers but im new to it and i think its rather good :)
look.... Shiney...
