Here is my usual site statistics and ramblings for January 2005.

There is a grand total of 2486 OSIX members. Site Growth The site database now contains 44 database tables. There have been 74 CVS commits (page updates) to the site in this period, this compares to 199 commits for the same period in the previous year. Articles In this period 6 articles were submitted and authorised, this compares to 10 articles for the same period in the previous year. On 01/02/2005 there was a total of 577 articles hosted on the site, which had been collectively viewed 465488 times. Forums The forums recieved 472 posts by 85 people. This compares to 347 posts in the same period of the previous year. OSIDrive The OSIDrive had 68 files uploaded totalling 2.867 Mb. This compares to 0 files of 0 Mb for the same period of the previous year. OSIDrive is currently holding 9.728 Mb of files for 2486 users within a total of 4995 subfolders. CoDebug The pastebin has been used 7 times. This compares to 0 times in the same period of the previous year. Polls A total of 157 votes were cast in this period. This compares to 215 votes for the same period of the previous year. Geek Challenges A total of 472 Geek levels were passed, this compares with 349 geek levels being passed same period of the previous year. Financials 32.48 USD has been raised in this period, this compares to 0 USD for the same period in the previous year. OSI is eternally grateful to the following people for their generous financial contributions - w0lf, Gisterogue, damaster, Anonymous, and also to those who wished to remain nameless. Period Summary Ok so shoot me, i cant remember what happened this month! (it is 7:30 am after all) There has been another steady increase in number of new members signing up this month. I dont think we had any spikes, so these will mainly be referrals from friends, cyberarmy and other challenge sites. Site development - aidan *finally* got all his new search stuff in, which is looking great, and I did the email validation stuff with some of help from domuk and t12. Those guys always stop me cutting corners! I find the email notification feature on private messages really useful (and i hope others do) Hopefully we will extend that to other areas of the site. I also put in the site comments block to help show the activity happening in some of the less accessible areas of the site. Articles have slowed off a bit in this month, but I guess we had been spoiled with TroPes outstanding efforts in the previous month, but there has been a few nice contributions from not-so regular faces, so a big thanks to them. In the coming month we have some cool new things to add to the site (currently in development) so hopefully we will be reporting back on their successful introduction next month. As ever, a massive thanks to everyone who contributed in some way this month, even if its just by submitting your solution to a geek level or just utilising the osidrive to host some pictures - its all good stuff!

I notice we're keeping a steady, nice figure with the signups, and we've just knocked over the 90k mark for points! 10k more, and we're at the... Well, I'll leave you to work out what significant base 10 marker we'll be at. bb, of course, has again downplayed the work he's done. I didn't really help, and yet again, OSI is in his debt for his contribution and support - as it is to everyone else for the neato content.
