Yet another nice e-book this time about the TCP/IP and Internet basics presented by one of my favorites authors, Assistant Professor Gary C. Kessler.

"Gary Kessler is Assistant Professor and program director of the Computer Networking major at Champlain College, as well as the president and janitor of Gary Kessler Associates, an independent telecommunications consulting and training firm specializing in computer and network security, Internet access issues, and TCP/IP networking. He has written over 55 papers for industry publications, is co-author of ISDN, 4th. edition (McGraw-Hill, 1998), and is a regular contributor to Information Security Magazine. Gary's main areas of interest include TCP/IP and the Internet, network security, electronic commerce, and fast packet technologies and services. His e-mail address is kumquat@sover.net."

"This memo provides a broad overview of the Internet and TCP/IP, with an emphasis on history, terms, and concepts. It is meant as a brief guide and starting point, referring to many other sources for more detailed information."
